Fall River’s 17th Annual Candlelight Vigil for the Homeless will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, as part of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, which is observed nationwide November 10 – November 18 this year.
Sponsored by three community nonprofits — Steppingstone Inc., Fall River Family Center, and Fall River Homeless Service Providers Coalition — the event will include speakers, music, and prayers. It will be held in the parking lot of Steppingstone Inc. at 134 Durfee Street in Fall River.
In conjunction with the vigil, Steppingstone’s First Step Inn is collecting new items such as hats, gloves, and socks throughout the week for adult men and women in need. Donations can be dropped off at 134 Durfee St., or brought to the vigil.
