State Senator Michael Rodrigues, who represents Fall River and chairs the influential budget-writing committee on ways and means, says the Senate’s version of the FY 2026 state budget focuses on, among other things, education and local aid.
The Senate budget needs to be reconciled with the House version before taking effect on July 1. Senator Rodrigues says the state is moving forward in the face of potential funding cuts from the federal government.
