Begin Black and African American History Month with Letters from Bristol event on Wednesday, February 5, 2020

Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous Letter from Birmingham Jail, this event will feature various anonymous letters written by Bristol Community College students, faculty, staff and alumni who identify as Black and/or African American. The anonymously displayed and shared letters will allow participants to uniquely walk in the shoes of the writers by experiencing the hardships and successes of their journey.

The thought-provoking event takes place on Wednesday, February 5, from 2 – 3:30 p.m., in the Grimshaw-Gudewicz Art Gallery, in the Jackson Arts Center (H Building) on the Bristol Fall River Campus, 777 Elsbree Street. Refreshments will be provided. The event is free and open to all.
