On Wednesday, October 24, The Standard Times as part of The SouthCoast Alliance will host a live debate between the candidates running for Congress in the Ninth District of Massachusetts. The event is free and open to the public.
Incumbent Democratic U.S. Congressman William Keating and Republican challenger Peter Tedeschi will square off from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The New Bedford Whaling Museum, located at 18 Johnny Cake Hill in New Bedford.
Prior to the debate, a forum featuring Jay Gonzalez, Democratic nominee for governor of Massachusetts, and Representative Geoff Diehl, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, will take place, starting at 6:00 p.m.
