While local access to area attractions and abutting properties around Battleship Cove will will maintained at all times, MassDot representatives urge motorists to seek alternate routes to avoid delays this weekend, September 11th.
In particular, people traveling over the Braga Bridge, which is also under construction for safety reasons, are being reminded that Mass DOT will close an additional lane of I-195 westbound from 10:00 p.m. – Friday September 11th until 5:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12th.
The right lane of I-195 westbound will remain open during this work. Once this work is completed, two lanes of traffic will be maintained. Traffic on I-195 eastbound on the bridge will be maintained in the current configuration.
