The body of a man who reportedly jumped off the Braga Bridge last week was located today near Battleship Cove. Fall River Fire Department Chief John Lynch says, an abandoned car was found parked on the side of the bridge about 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, and eyewitnesses told officials they saw a male jump from the westbound side of Interstate 195 into the Taunton River. Rescue teams from several towns including nearby Rhode Island communities, searched for the man with no luck over the weekend. The Fall River Police Department’s Marine Unit and a helicopter from the State Police’s Airwing Unit also aided in the search.
