On Wednesday, July 31st from 1pm to 6pm, the American Red Cross will be hosting a Community Blood Drive at City Hall.
Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. It is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illness and traumatic injuries. Whether a patient received whole blood, red cells, platelets or plasma, this lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation. One donation can save up to three lives.
We are hopeful that all City Departments will participate, including our elected officials. The public is also welcome and encouraged to help us with this drive.
Attached to this email is a flyer for the blood drive and a short story on why blood donation is so important as well as sign up links.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me via email or by calling the Mayor’s office (508-324-2600.)
