President Joe Biden was in the SouthCoast this week, talking about climate change after visiting the site of the former Brayton Point power plant in Somerset.
With the backdrop of the Braga Bridge and Fall River, the president praised the work being done by state and local officials in transforming Brayton Point from a polluter to a clean energy leader.
The president announced additional funding to communities greatly impacted by climate change, citing the 100 million Americans currently under severe weather advisories and suffering from the extreme summer heat. The president says he will take more executive action to protect the lives of this and future generations of Americans.
