A Memorial Day ceremony in honor of United States veterans will be held at Battleship Cove from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 27. It will begin with a traditional military observance, the raising of the American flag from half-staff and a 21-gun salute.
The keynote speaker will be Lieutenant Colonel Jackson Doan USMC from the Naval War College and Captain John S. Casey (ret.) – executive director of Battleship Cove will be the master of ceremonies.
The ceremony will take place rain or shine. It is open to the public and admission is free. Veterans will also receive free admission from Saturday, May 25, to Monday, May 27, 2019.
