FRCMedia is previewing what parents and students can expect from city schools when the new year begins later this month. Today we look at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School.
Classes at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School will begin on August 28 and are expected to open to the highest enrollment in the school’s history.
Mr. Bentley says Diman continues to receive support from families in Fall River, Somerset, Swansea and Westport.
Academically Diman is expected to fare well when the release of its MCAS scores becomes available later this fall.
Along with keeping academic standards high, Diman is working to provide students with guidelines to improve their social and emotional skills.
The 2024-2025 school year will be the second in which students and families deal with the construction of the new high school on Stonehaven Road. As of now, that project is still on time and budget.
Mr. Bentley says Diman is looking to expand its partnership with the HealthFirst Family Care Center providing comprehensive health services to students. In the coming year, it is anticipated that a student mental health component will be added to the clinic’s services.
