FRCMedia is previewing the upcoming school year of the school districts that serve city students. Today, we will take a look at what lies ahead at the Atlantis Charter School.
The Atlantis Charter School returns on August 25. In its 31st year, the K through 12 school has seen its enrollment remain steady at between 1,260 and 1,270 students.
Executive Director Robert Beatty says Atlantis offers a curriculum that prepares students to attend college and provides opportunities for those who wish to enter the workforce.
In the lower grades, the focus remains on giving students a strong academic foundation.
Outside the classroom, Atlantis continues to expand its theater and fine arts opportunities and grow its athletics program.
Mr. Beatty says Atlantis is fortunate to be in a community that values quality education. A big part of that is encouraging parents to lend their input.
