It’s that time of year when dog owners in Fall River need to renew their pet’s licenses for the period of April 1st through March 31st.
Licenses will be available at the City Clerk’s Office at Government Center Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. All dogs, four months or older, are required to be licensed yearly. Pet owners are required to bring a veterinarian’s certificate to indicate the address where the dog resides, and proof from a veterinarian’s office that it has been vaccinated against rabies and that the vaccination has not expired.
Fees for licenses are $15 for male or female dogs and $10 dollars for neutered males or spayed females. This certificate must also show that your pet has been spayed or neutered.
Under Massachusetts General Laws, any dog owner 70 years of age or older is entitled to a free license with proof of age.
