Fall River has a rich and distinctive history, and Creative Arts Network Inc. (C.A.N.) is looking for artists to design murals that reflect it in an upcoming competition.

Sponsored by C.A.N., UMass Dartmouth, Green Futures, Mass In Motion and Shane Landing LLC, the project aims to “help tell the story of what was one of the most prosperous cities in the United States.”  Muralists will create individual or collaborative works that illustrate the city’s cultural, historical, and social identity. The winning works will be featured throughout the city at prominent locations.

Detailed information about the project will be provided at a half-day meeting to be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on April 30, 2019 at C.A.N.’s office at 385 Columbia Street in Fall River.  The meeting will include a light lunch, presentations by wall owners, and transportation to wall locations.

Artists interested in attending must register in advance. Email @DENDENLLC@COMCAST.NET   or call/text @ 508-294-5344.
