A photography exhibit documenting ethnic diversity in Massachusetts will open at Fall River Heritage State Park Community Gallery next month.

“The Bay State: A Multicultural Landscape” by Mark Chester is a collection of more than 400 informal portraits of foreign-born, naturalized U.S. citizens representing over 190 countries and territories who reside in the Commonwealth. It will be on display May through June 2019.

The community is invited to join Chester for coffee and conversation at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, as he hangs the exhibit at “Hanging with the Artist,” an event inspired by ArtWeek, a state-wide festival being held from April 26 – May 5, 2019.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Fall River Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. For more information call 508-675-5759 or click here: http://www.markchesterphotography.com
