Over 400 seniors were on hand last week at the Venus De Milo restaurant for a free luncheon and presentation sponsored by Bristol County District Attorney Tom Quinn and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston on how to avoid becoming a victim of scams, fraud and abuse.
Attorney Quinn says criminals play upon the vulnerabilities of seniors in attempting to trick them into taking action that is not in their best interests.
The District Attorney’s Office holds its annual Celebration of Seniors every June connecting seniors to over 70 vendors that provide services to the elderly.
