Early this week, vandals wrote anti-semetic messages on over 50 headstones at the Fall River Hebrew Cemetery. Police are investigating the incident as a hate crime, and have asked the FBI to look into pursuing federal charges. Ron Weisberger, Director of the Holocaust Center at Bristol Community College says, the vandalism sends a disturbing message, but also allows for an opportunity to educate:
Bristol’s Holocaust Center sponsors activities year round to educate students, and the community-at-large, about the issues around genocide, and how we as individuals, can strive to be more respectful to one another. Find out more about the Holocaust Center on the Bristol Community College website.
