Crystal Springs, a nonprofit organization in Assonet that supports children and adults with developmental disabilities, is now planning the 23rd Annual Dr. John Manning Memorial Open, to take place on Monday, September 23, at the Fall River Country Club.
The tournament is named in honor of the late pediatrician John E. Manning, who practiced in Fall River for many years and later in Lakeville, where he retired as chief of pediatrics at Lakeville Hospital in 1988. He also served as Crystal Springs’ unpaid pediatrician and medical director.
