Amazon officials have decided to hire another 500 employees to work at the company’s Fulfillment Center located in Fall River’s Biotech park. The doors to the brand new facility opened this week with the initial 500 employees reporting into work. According to Career Center Director Joe Viana, the company received approximately 16 hundred applications over the summer. It was from that pool of applicants that the finalists were taken.
The decision to hire additional help came on the day of Amazon’s opening on Wednesday, September 21st. For more information about the hiring process, interested area residents can call the Career Center at (508) 730-5000.
