The Finance Committee of the Fall River City Council this week had questions for the Coogan Administration on its five-year financial forecast submitted earlier this month.
Among the items up for discussion, a proposed $4.7 million deficit projected in the FY 2021 budget.
Acting City Administrator Mary Sahady said the spending plan is still in its early stages of development and will be balanced by the time the council officially receives the budget later this spring.
Ms. Sahady also mentioned that the city will be working with its health care consultant to minimize the increase in anticipated health care costs.
