The Fall River Board of Election Commissioners is sending out official absentee and mail-in ballots this week.
From the Fall River Board of Election Commissioners
This is to notify all residents who have applied for an Absentee or Mail-In ballot that they can expect to start receiving their ballots in the mail this week.
As a reminder, when you receive your ballot package please follow the enclosed instructions prior to filling out your ballot. As required by law, you must sign the affidavit on the outside of the ballot envelope before you submit it to my office. If not, your mail-in ballot must be rejected. I ask that all voters please be diligent and remember to return your ballot to my office as soon as possible. Mail-In ballots must be received no later than 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 7th.
Voters can return their ballots via the mail by using the enclosed postage paid envelope, directly at the Board of Elections office, or at our Ballot Drop Box located outside of the Third Street entrance. Please Note: Do Not place your ballot in the Treasurer’s mail slot outside of the doors on Third Street. There is a sign posted directing you to use the Ballot Drop Box.
The deadline to apply for an Absentee/Mail-In ballot is by 5:00 P.M. on October 31st. The application can be downloaded from the Board of Elections webpage or submitted through the website of Secretary Galvin at: Voting by Mail (state.ma.us)
Any and all questions should be directed to my office at 508-324-2630 or by emailing me at rlyons@fallriverma.gov.
