The premiere of a recently restored classic video about Fall River’s rich ethnic heritage will be held on Friday, May 10, at 6:00 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
Originally produced as a 15-projector slide slow in 1984 in conjunction with the opening of Heritage State Park, The Fabric of Fall River: Self Portrait of a City celebrates the people who came from all over the world to work in Fall River’s textile industry.
FRCMedia Assistant Director Steve Rys spent over 100 hours digitizing the slides and audio narration into a 40-minute video, ensuring that it will be available for viewing for generations to come.
FRCMedia, Heritage State Park, and Creative Arts Network (C.A.N.) are co-sponsoring the special initial showing of the video, which will take in the Visitor Center Auditorium at Heritage State Park. RSVP to jayne@frmedia.org.
