A couple of hundred people turned out for the semi-annual job fair held at Government Center October 7th.
Sponsored by the City and the Greater Fall River Career Center, 70 companies were accepting applications from job seekers throughout the day.
Chamber President Rob Mellion was delighted with the turnout. Early in the day he told frcconnect.org that over fifty people turned out out soon after the doors opened at nine a.m.
“It’s encouraging to see people proactively searching for work,” Mellion says.
People came dressed for success, and some had resumes in hand.
“Networking is essential to getting a job these days, so it’s good to see people connecting with our community workplace,” Mellion adds.
The next Job Fair is scheduled for next spring.
