Two Dollar Tree stores were robbed in Fall River exactly twenty four hours apart.
According to police reports, two men entered a Dollar Tree on Stafford Road around 9:30 p.m. Monday night. Both men were described as thin white men about 6 feet tall, both wearing black hooded sweatshirts with cloth covering their faces.
Each of the men ordered two of the clerks to open separate cash registers after demanding money, before fleeing with a small amount of cash. The two clerks on duty, a 29 year old female, and a 20 year old male were in the store, and not harmed. No suspects have yet been arrested.
Meanwhile…still no suspects found in the first robbery either, which occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night when a lone man, who also brandished a gun and fled with cash from one of the registers, entered the Dollar Tree on North Main Street and demanded money. There were two female clerks on duty at that time, and neither of them were harmed either.
Police continue to investigate each incident, and say it is highly unlikely the same robbers were involved in both cases.
There were no customers in either store when they were robbed. The clerks were not physically harmed.
