The second annual Soap Box Derby race at North Park was held over the weekend under bright, sunny skies. Sponsored by the Greater Fall River Re-Creation Department, this was the second year of the popular event filmed by Fall River parent Michelle Dumais of FRC Media:
The winner of the Standard Class race was 8 year old James Creel of Rehobeth, and a boy from Somerset, James Darlington, won the Modified class race. Those results from Race Official Mr. George Giguere, who also tells frcconnect.org. that this is the first of the two years that the top prizes went to out-of-city children. “No matter,” he added, “Since all the kids had a great time.”
