Summer has officially begun, and with it comes an abundance of fresh produce for sale at local farmers markets.

In Fall River, shoppers have two markets to choose from. The Ruggles Park Farmers Market starts on June 26 and will be open every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. through November 20.  The Kennedy Park Farmers Market is open Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. until November 30.

Farmers markets are also available in nearby communities including Swansea, Westport, and Dartmouth, among others.  A guide is available on Southeastern Massachusetts Agricultural Partnership (SEMAP)’s web site and includes Bristol, Plymouth, and Norfolk counties as well as Cape Cod.  Click here to view it:
